CHALLENGE

A Valuable and Innovative Approach

CPL Concordia’s goal was to completely reshape their digital touchpoint: they were starting from two different platforms, one for Corporate communication and Services offerings, the other for Sustainability, both of which were difficult to navigate both to facilitate business action by employees and for those interested in the cooperative’s actions who would find useful information on the site for collective participation.

Managing the website was also difficult for CPL staff to update, as well as needing a graphic refresh that would bring it in step with the times and the cooperative’s brand identity.

Solution

The user at the center

Through the preliminary analysis of the two previous web structures, but especially from actively listening to all the corporate departments involved in the collection phase, it was possible to formalize a new sitemap, shared with the CPL Concordia coordination team.

In this way, we were able to put the users at the center of the project, directly understanding their behaviors, needs and points of view. The insights gained were useful in outlining and circumscribing the project objectives and directing the subsequent project phases, for content rationalization, hierarchical organization of information and development of the new main sections of the site.

Execution

The design system: forms and templates

In order to facilitate the construction of the pages and to ensure as much flexibility as possible, the website was designed as a modular set of modules, configurable according to the experiences and goals to be achieved on each.

The use of this strategy also allowed the modules to be reused for the creation of mini-websites (and landing pages) that CPL Concordia would need to build to promote specific services and products. This approach, therefore, made it possible to be able to ensure stylistic continuity for minimal effort in implementation and management over time.

Execution

A new technology for a flexible CMS

The request from the Client was to be able to edit content within the site independently and to be able to update it according to their needs.

For this reason, OutNow’s technological choice was based on the hybrid Headless CMS, with the development of a backend in WP Custom – a platform already in use by the client – capable of ensuring flexibility and ease of use by the editor, as well as the possibility of speeding up the creation of components and deployment by developers.

Execution

Evolving onsite SEO

Among the data analyzed during the preliminary collection phase, a low share of website views through organic search emerged.

For this reason, OutNow provided the client with a tech infrastructure so that the SEO component could be managed for all pages.
In addition, an SEO Specialist, analyzed the structure of the pages and Services offered, sharing with the client a documentation on the practices to be followed so as to make them autonomous in the future management of this aspect.
